Wing Commander Edward Shipman AFC
Joined the RAF as ground crew in 1931, but completed his pilot training in 1936. He flew with No.41 Sqn, and claimed an He111 in October 1939. During the Battle of Britain he claimed an Me110 and He111 in August before becoming an instructor. He stayed with the RAF until retirement in 1959. He died in 1998.

Clipped Signature - Edward Shipman. Joined the RAF as ground crew in 1931, but completed his pilot training in 1936. He flew with No.41 Sqn, and claimed an He111 in October 1939. During the Battle of Britain he claimed an Me110 and He111 in August before becoming an instructor. He stayed with the RAF until retirement in 1959. He died in 1998. Please note that this particular signature has been written in pen - not in pencil like most of our signatures. |
