Colonel Raymond A Lallemant DFC*
A Belgian pilot who joined the Royal Air Force, he is credited with 6 victories in World War Two. He flew the Typhoon with No.609 Sqn and became the squadron's Commanding Officer in 1944. Shot down that September, he was badly injured but survived. After recovering, he flew as the Commanding Officer of No.349 Sqn flying Spitfires. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and Bar. He died on 30th January 2008.

Clipped Signature - Raymond A Lallemant. A Belgian Ace credited with 6 victories, he commanded No.609 Sqn flying Typhoons then No.349 Sqn flying Spitfires. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and Bar. He died in 2008. Please note that this particular signature has been written in pen - not in pencil like most of our signatures. |
